Fresh Food for Seniors

The program offers a bag of locally-grown fresh produce for $10 cash (a $15+ value) every two weeks through to November 18.

It’s pay-as-you-go, not a subscription, so it’s a great value with no need for a commitment—just a little advance planning. Produce is ordered by GrowNYC at wholesale prices from farmers in NY, NJ, CT, and PA.

First of the season payment of $10 cash is due on Monday, July 6 by 12:00pm.

First of the season payment is Wednesday, July 15 between 1:30pm - 3:00pm.

Order by dropping off your payment at the Project Open office; please bring your payment with your cash in a sealed envelope with the following information written clearly on it:

‍ ‍1. Your Name 2. Your Email Address 3. Building #/Apt # 4. Your Phone Number

You will receive an email confirmation on 7/6/2026 by 5pm. If the office is closed, please slip it under the Project Open office door.

When you pick up your produce on July 15, you will have the opportunity to sign up and pay $10 cash for next offering which is on Wednesday, July 29.

Below are the dates of future “Payment Tuesdays” and “Pick Up Wednesdays.”**

• Pay by July 21, pick up July 29

• Pay by Aug 4, pick up Aug 12

• Pay by Sept 1, pick up Sept 9

• Pay by Sept 15, pick up Sept 23

• Pay by Sept 29, pick up Oct 7

• Pay by Oct 13, pick up Oct 21

• Pay by Oct 27, pick up Nov 4

• Pay by Nov 10, pick up Nov 18

Note: the first payment is due on Monday, July 6; after that all payment days are Tuesdays.

**Payment is due by 12pm on “Payment Tuesday”; pick up is 1:30pm to 3pm on “Payment Wednesday.”
