NYC Ballet Working Day Tour

  • David Koch Theater 20 Lincoln Center (Columbus Avenue and West 63rd Street) (map)

Our community partner, Lincoln Center for Performing Arts, has invited Project Open to participate in the first-ever New York City Ballet Working Days. This unique tour focuses on the front of the house operations of the ballet (we will not be going backstage). It will cover company’s history, the architecture of the building and important lobby artwork. It will include a look at costumes and pointe shoes from famous productions. Then, while we are seated in the David Koch theater, we will observe an onstage rehearsal for 30 minutes. There is space for 20 people; the first part will be walking and standing as we listen to the guide. Mobility devices will be accommodated.
